Perez dismisses Xabi Alonso and chooses another manager to coach Real Madrid

Ancelotti has emerged from many situations where it seemed he would never win any major titles with Madrid, but it seems he won’t achieve that this season, even with a miracle. His future depends almost entirely on what happens in the second leg of the Champions League tie against Arsenal after the Whites’ defeat in London. Things are complicated, but it’s clear that Real Madrid will try and have the offensive weapons to score three goals.

Another issue is the poor collective performance and the damaged defense – Florentino has decided not to sign any players after multiple injuries and the team is collapsing. The Champions League exit and second-place finish in La Liga mean a change of pace for Real Madrid, with a new manager on the bench to try to revitalize a project that appears to be in tatters.

A few months ago, the only leading candidate to succeed the Italian was Xabi Alonso. He may leave Leverkusen, would be willing to sign for Real Madrid, and already appears to have gained enough experience on the international bench to make the big leap. Xabi was beloved for his years in the white shirt, his attacking style, and his seriousness in managing the dressing room.

The path to a summer meeting seemed clear, but doubts were raised at the Santiago Bernabéu due to the unstable season and because Real Madrid may need to make a significant impact on the bench and in the transfer market if this season is to end like a dream.

In football circles, several agents have indicated in recent days that Jürgen Klopp’s option is gaining ground at the Santiago Bernabéu. Those close to Florentino Pérez suggest that the German is perhaps the only candidate capable of fixing this season’s tactical chaos. Klopp would be a hugely influential signing, giving him more room to maneuver and perhaps better able to handle the pressure of a club that simply wants to win at all costs.

Klopp was already on the table in Madrid a few years ago, although Florentino Perez ultimately didn’t give the green light. Now it won’t be easy either. The German coach feels very comfortable within the Red Bull Group’s structure, although he has, in theory, already spent his last year away from the coaching staff. There’s no doubt that Real Madrid’s offer could tempt him, given the enormous challenge of getting Vinicius and Mbappé to work together, something Ancelotti has been unable to achieve.

Klopp would be a real bombshell, although Florentino Perez will do his best to bring in a charismatic coach, and the Real Madrid president has always been more reserved when it comes to benching. What’s certain for Real Madrid is that they will have to make a lot of good signings because this team isn’t producing.
