Ancelotti admits: “I don’t like what Vinicius and Bellingham did against Barcelona”

Carlo Ancelotti admitted that he did not like what Vinicius and Bellingham did as Real Madrid faced Barcelona at Al Awal Park Stadium in Riyadh. The white team defeated the Catalans 4-1 in the Spanish Super Cup final, with the Brazilian winger scoring a hat-trick while Rodriguez scored the fourth goal.

After the match, Ancelotti said: “We wanted to win and we did it deservedly.” We put Vinicius in an extraordinary moment after the first goal, and from there another game began. Barcelona held the ball, looked for opportunities, and until the score was 4-1, everything was open. “It was a perfect match and we are very happy.”

Regarding scoring 9 goals in only two matches during the Spanish Super Cup, the Italian coach said: “We are very dangerous, because there are movements and changes that occur in the attack, and there are no fixed positions. This prevents the opponent from positioning himself. Vinicius, Bellingham, Rodrigo intervene… With the help of the full-backs, they create a lot of danger. Moving between the lines is what creates problems.”

Regarding the big result, he said: “I think the result was resounding, but the match… we took the lead very early, and even the score was 4-1, it was open. They handled the ball well and it was difficult for us to get it back. “If we thought it was easy, we were wrong.”

He talked about Vinicius and his reference to Barcelona’s bench: “I don’t know what happened with Vinicius and the bench, but he did a great job and I simply changed him to avoid problems, because he is coming back from injury. He has to focus on his job, as he said today, which is to give hope and titles to Real Madrid fans.”

Ancelotti expressed his annoyance at what Vinicius and Bellingham did in the match: “I told Vinicius that I do not like playing the ball with heels. He and Bellingham did just that. “I told him don’t do it, it’s not necessary.”
