Courtois makes a “brave” decision and informs Real Madrid of it
The Madrid entity continues planning for 2024-2025, although, for now, Carlo Ancelotti’s future remains up in the air, something that could change in the coming weeks.
What is clear is the future of the Belgian goalkeeper, something that Florentino Pérez and José Ángel Sánchez already know, despite the fact that he is still out.
Thibaut Courtois is focused on his recovery, a recovery that is on the right track. However, the Belgian goalkeeper has been in the news for another issue in recent hours.
According to information from Radio Marca, Thibaut Courtois has informed Real Madrid that he will not go to the Euro Cup with Belgium, because he prefers to stay in Madrid to fully recover and continue working.
It is not the first time that the goalkeeper has shown his commitment to the best club in the world, but on this occasion he has surprised the club, because they would understand that he wanted to play in the Euro Cup.
He has a contract with Real Madrid until June 30, 2026, and wants to regain ownership as soon as it is available , starting at the start of next season.
To do this they will have to strengthen their legs a lot, to prevent any type of injury and avoid a relapse.
By staying in Madrid, working with the rest of the players who are not going to the Euro Cup, he will be able to win over the coach and the entire coaching staff , although seeing what he did in past seasons, he will not have any type of problem.
He maintains the quality he has as a goalkeeper, and the only thing he has to do now is lose the fear of getting injured again.
