Real Madrid makes a quick and decisive decision after Arda Guler is injured again

Arda Guler arrived at Real Madrid with a small meniscus injury that the white club took time to manage, first in the United States, where the footballer was training on the sidelines until it was decided to make the injury public so that the footballer could return to Madrid.

There, two weeks of break in which it was debated whether to follow conservative treatment or undergo surgery. Mihic , who opted not to operate, finally ended up losing the battle with the opinion of Dr. Leyes, who was the one who operated on the player. He would also operate on Militao and Courtois’s knees.

But the main problem with Güler has been the continuous relapses and muscle injuries , which in recent weeks had caused quite a few discrepancies between the different physical areas of the club: physical trainers, readapters, physios and Mihic himself.

Real Madrid has decided to dispense with the services of Niko Mihic , the white club’s chief medical officer. As MARCA has learned, the Güler case has been one of the triggers for the departure of the Croatian doctor, who arrived at Real Madrid in 2017 .

A person very close to Florentino Pérez and the Croatian players (Kovacic and Modric) for more than a decade, it was six years ago when he began to dedicate himself exclusively to Real Madrid, replacing Dr. Olmo.

His methods created certain doubts in some players at the beginning, but with the help of Pintus they made Real Madrid one of the most physically powerful teams.

The decision to leave Dr. Mihic is made after a start to the season where there have been many problems with injuries and, above all, in the management of some of them. Especially in the case of Güler.

But Güler ‘s case was not the only one that caused the departure of the Croatian doctor. In the last year, there have been many relapses by several players. The cases of Benzema, Alaba and Ceballos, with physical problems in the same areas , had already caused several frictions between the players and the medical services, frictions that had reached the highest levels of the club.

Finally, after six years of work, it has been decided to put an end to the relationship between both parties.
