There is no going back: Ancelotti has angered the player and gives the OK to his goodbye to Madrid
The white club right now is focused on the present, but without ceasing to look to the future, aware that the squad must be improved year after year, even making difficult decisions.
Carlo Ancelotti only wants to know what he can control, which is the performance of his players, although, little by little, he is revealing decisions that will clearly have an impact for 2023-2024.
Since Kepa Arrizabalaga debuted with Real Madrid, nothing has been heard from Andriy Lunin, who is apparently condemned to ostracism, something that does not please the Ukrainian.
Regarding this, Jorge Picón has revealed important information, which can make clear what is going to happen next summer.
“Andriy Lunin is angry about the lack of opportunities he is having. His contract ends next summer and there are no signs that he will renew,” said the aforementioned ‘Relevo’ journalist.
This information shows that for Carlo Ancelotti there is no turning back, which is why he has decided to leave the Ukrainian on the exit ramp, who clearly will not continue in the Madrid entity in 2024-2025.
The Italian coach already told Andriy Lunin in the last two summers that it was best for him to leave, so as not to cut off his progression and he could see quality minutes, although the goalkeeper ignored him.
Real Madrid’s initial idea, when Thibaut Courtois returns, is to keep Kepa Arrizabalaga in the squad, although first they will have to negotiate a lower transfer with Chelsea, for which the Basque’s will and desire will be decisive.
