Terms of the agreement between Mbappe and PSG
Relations between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint Germain give another twist. Both parties would have signed a gentlemen’s agreement , according to ‘L’Equipe’, in which the player has renounced certain bonuses , including loyalty bonuses , estimated at between 60 and 80 million euros, to save the club more than 100 . An agreement that would be worth for the player to rejoin the team after being separated from the group of ‘undesirables’ and unblock an unpleasant situation.
In this way Luis Enrique has been able to add it to the discipline of the squad and improve its sporting resources, to which the signings of Dembelé, Asensio, Kolo Muani and Gonçalo Ramos have been added to strengthen the attack after the departures of Messi and Neymar. The agreement does not include that the player has to renew . It is a solution for this season, although the club hopes to convince him to extend his contract until 2025 at the earliest. For that he has until January 2 , the date on which Mbappé will be able to negotiate with any club as a free agent since he ends his commitment with the Parisians on June 30, 2024 .
PSG will not stop until they achieve it , although they have been warned after what happened this summer, in which Al-Khelaifi has used all means, including threats, to achieve it but without success. He got it last summer, but now the goal is complicated.
At Real Madrid they are still waiting for the situation, they do not hide that Mbappé is interested but not at any price . They have no illusions after what has been happening for six years . They are not willing to fall back on mistakes of the past.
Mbappé has the door open , but they will no longer move a finger to attract him. It will be the player who has to maintain his position with PSG not to renew, and sign a commitment with the Madrid team in January to join when his contract ends in Paris.
