Trent Alexander-Arnold’s ‘outstanding’ long-range goal for England in Euro 2024 qualifier vs Malta

The 24-year-old was deployed in midfield for the Euro 2024 qualifier, as Gareth Southgate took the opportunity to experiment with his Three Lions side. 

And, while wearing the number ten shirt, it didn’t take long for the England star to make an impact at the Ta’Qali National Stadium.

The Liverpool star clipped a beautiful pass behind the Malta defence that helped orchestrate the opener in the game, before getting himself a goal shortly after. 

Alexander-Arnold latched on to a loose ball that had rebounded into his path and made no mistake dispatching his effort – leading to praise from fans and pundits alike.
