Official – Real Madrid announces its second summer signing

Today, Friday, Real Madrid announced its second summer deals for the next season 2023/2024 in an official statement on its website and social media platforms.

The first deal was the signing of midfielder Judd Bellingham, as Borussia Dortmund announced last Wednesday that it had reached a final agreement with the white club regarding the English player’s deal.

As for the second deal announced today, it is Fran Garcia (23 years old), the Spanish left-back for Rayo Vallecano.

Fran Garcia has belonged to the Real Madrid youth academy since 2013, where he arrived at the age of only 14, and left in 2020. He played two seasons in Castilla and made his debut with the Real Madrid first team in 2018.

The presentation ceremony for Fran Garcia as a new player for the Whites will take place on Monday, June 12 at 12:00 in the Real Madrid Sports City.

great season

Fran Garcia returns after a stellar season with Rayo Vallecano, in which he became the player with the most minutes in LaLiga, providing three assists from the left flank and 26 key passes.

He was the second player to record the most crosses in the area with 26 assists. He was also the second most advanced player (forwards), second only to Vinicius.

dream

Fran Garcia fulfills his wish to return to Real Madrid. It has always been his dream to play for the white first team, which he is now going to achieve after three seasons at Rayo Vallecano.

Last summer, Rayo Vallecano wanted to extend the contract and lift the release clause, but the player and agent risked continuing the same relationship. Now Real Madrid is regaining a full-back playing 70 matches in the Spanish First Division.
