Inter Milan reveals which opponent they hope not to face in the Champions League final

Italian club Inter Milan qualified for the Champions League final, after repeating its victory yesterday over its traditional rivals, AC Milan, with a clean goal, in the second leg of the semi-final match that was held between them yesterday, Tuesday. The first leg score was 2-0.

Inter Milan is waiting to determine the other side for the Champions League final, today, Wednesday, when Real Madrid will be a heavy guest on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium for the semi-final second leg. The first leg ended 1-1 at the Bernabéu.

Javier Zanetti, Vice President of Inter Milan, spoke after winning and qualifying for the final yesterday about Lautaro Martinez, his future, and the team he does not wish to face in the Istanbul final, which will be held on June 10.

Zanetti told Sky Sports Italia: “I am very happy for Lautaro Martinez, he is having an extraordinary career. He is growing and now he is a very important reference in the team.”

He added about the future of the Argentine striker: “He is very happy here, he has found his home, his family, and they are happy to be at Inter and I hope he can stay for a longer period. This is a team that deserves the final.”

Regarding the final match, Javier said: “This group deserves to play the Champions League final after 13 years. But I hope we don’t play Real Madrid because it looks like this tournament was made for them.”
