Real Madrid dashes Barcelona’s Champions League dream

Barcelona president Joan Laporta expressed his excitement about facing Inter Milan in the Champions League semi-finals. In fact, the Barcelona official told his close friends he was tired of going to Germany.
In the league stage, one of Barcelona’s rivals was Borussia Dortmund, and they had to travel to this German city where there is only Signal Iduna Park and no other tourist attractions. Not even any special food, by the way. But the surprising thing is that Barcelona had to face Borussia Dortmund again in the quarterfinals.
To add to all that, after the yellow team’s elimination, there was a possibility that Barcelona would have to return to Germany because Flick’s team would have to face the winner of the Inter Milan-Bayern Munich match in the semi-finals.
But Laporta, who was tired of going to Germany, also didn’t want to play in Munich, which is why he preferred to go to Milan in the semi-finals.
Laporta’s dream shattered
While he would have preferred to face Inter in the semi-finals, Laporta dreamed of facing Real Madrid in the Champions League final and defeating them to break their traditional rivals. However, his dream was shattered after Los Blancos were eliminated by Arsenal in the quarter-finals.
