Henry blames three players for Real Madrid’s defeat to Arsenal

What happened last night in the match between Real Madrid and Arsenal is generating much debate, as the king of Europe has been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League.
The elimination of the Merengues, as expected, is being widely discussed in the football world, something that will only get worse, especially since it’s what usually leads to a failure for the Real Madrid team.
However, the problem for Carlo Ancelotti’s team is that they must move on, as they have to focus on LaLiga, the Copa del Rey, and the Club World Cup, but the sensations and performances of some players this season have not been the best.
“It’s not right to make an analysis today; we have to accept this tie and the blows that come our way. What I told the players is that we have to keep our heads high. We’ve done very well in this tournament in other years. This year wasn’t the case; in sport, this can happen; there are no invincible teams. Attitude-wise, the team gave everything it could. We weren’t always able to do better than the other team,” the Italian coach said in a press conference after losing 2-1 to Arsenal at the Santiago Bernabéu.
These words from Carlo Ancelotti demonstrate a great deal of self-criticism, although the Reggiolo native did not single out any names in the Real Madrid squad.
This is something that Thierry Henry himself did , who pointed to the three attackers, while also giving the Real Madrid coach a hard time.
“I wanted to see what Ancelotti was going to do this season, with the setup and the players up front, and the balance of the team. In the Champions League, among the bottom five who cover the least distance per game… there are three Real Madrid players ,” said the French legend, who was very satisfied with Arsenal’s qualification, but did not hesitate to talk about the club’s shortcomings this season.
The Frenchman’s explanation clearly points to Kylian Mbappé, Rodrygo Goes, and Vinicius Jr., three players who are in the eye of the storm and who have always had the support of Carlo Ancelotti this season, but they have not been able to respond with football and sacrifice to the trust the Italian coach has placed in them.
