Ancelotti has apologized to two Real Madrid players: “It’s my fault”
Ancelotti has always admitted that he is also responsible for Real Madrid’s poor performance this season. All the parts are broken, and this directly affects the team’s performance.
Carlo Ancelotti has apologised to two of his Real Madrid players because he feels partly responsible for the criticism they both receive for playing in positions they are not meant to play in.
The players were Lucas Vazquez and Tchouameni, to whom he said: “It’s my fault, forgive me, but I trust your work, and I don’t care what is said outside.” However, Lucas has adapted as a right-back for several seasons, and it was also the club’s decision for him to remain as Carvajal’s replacement.
Lucas Vázquez was more accustomed to playing in this position, and he performed very well in important matches. However, this season it has become more evident, because the whole team defends badly. In the case of Tchouameni, it is different, because the fact that he plays in defense is a decision of the coaching staff who preferred him over Asensio.
The Frenchman was the most prominent target of criticism in the Real Madrid-Celta Vigo match. In contrast, Raul Asensio was applauded and cheered throughout the match. This was a direct message to the Italian coach who does not intend to change his mind at the moment. However, with Camavinga injured, Tchouameni is likely to return to the midfield role in the upcoming matches.
