The goal that made Perez celebrate like children in the stands

It is somewhat ironic that we’re celebrating this momentous occasion on the same day Sergio Ramos was omitted from Spain’s Euro 2021 squad. Nevertheless, what happens now in present day and beyond is irrelevant and separate, and will never take away from arguably the greatest moment in Real Madrid history: Sergio Ramos’s header with 92:48 on the clock in the 2014 Champions League final against Atletico Madrid to send the game into extra-time.

And it may have just been an equalizer, but those who watched the game knew it was more than that: it was a goal that broke Atletico Madrid completely. It was evident that Real Madrid were going to win La Decima after Ramos’s goal.

It was the only time Florentino Pérez abandoned his dignity to celebrate one of the most important goals in the history of Real Madrid?!
