Real Madrid

He feels remorse.. The former Real Madrid player calls Florentino Perez and asks to return

The Spanish newspaper El Nacional said that one of the former Real Madrid players wanted to return to the club and called Florentino Perez asking him to allow him to return to his home and to forgive him for his decision to leave.

Real Madrid is progressing steadily in the Spanish League and the Champions League despite losing several players due to injuries, the most recent of which was David Alaba’s injury in the Villarreal match with a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament in his left foot.

This is the third cruciate ligament injury in Real Madrid after Thibaut Courtois and Militao. Suffering in the back line may push the White Club to search for a new defender in the upcoming January transfer market.

In the midst of this, the aforementioned newspaper confirmed that French defender Raphael Varane was the one who contacted Florentino Perez to ask him to return to Real Madrid again.

Varane quickly regretted the move to Manchester United, seeing as the highly competitive project he was promised was a lie, with the results always disastrous. They were not competing for any major silverware, apart from winning the Carabao Cup the previous year, and he had to watch from afar as his former teammates won a new Champions League.

As the seasons have progressed, things have gone from bad to worse for Varane at Old Trafford, and in fact he is not even in manager Erik ten Hag’s plans at the moment. He has had a minor role, coming off the bench despite the loss of Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans.

That’s why he wants to pack his bags and has been linked to Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain or some clubs in Saudi Arabia.

But Varane’s desire would be to experience the second stage in the Spanish capital, landing again in Madrid, which is why he contacted Florentino Pérez personally.

Varane wants to take advantage of the fact that Eder Militao will be absent for a long time, and Nacho Fernandez will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, so that he can return to what has been his home for nearly a decade.

However, Florentino Perez completely closed the door on him.
