Ancelotti explains why he reprimanded Vinicius in the Almeria match

Real Madrid achieved a comfortable victory over Almeria, 3-1, in the second round of the Spanish Premier League. Ancelotti expressed his happiness with the result after the match and explained why he was upset with Vinicius.

Ancelotti began his speech, saying: “Almeria surprised us with the first counter-attack they made. Could we have defended better? Yes, but it was an excellent attack and they scored because they had quality.

He added, “We have not lost our minds and we have the ability to move. The lack of a fixed position and the movement of Vinicius, Rodrygo and Bellingham makes the opponent feel uncomfortable.”

In response to a question about the League’s desire to film what is happening in the Real Madrid dressing room, Ancelotti replied: “The cameras do not enter the dressing room because we have the right not to allow them to enter. But if his entry is compulsory, yes, I will reduce my salary so that you do not enter.”

And he touched on talking about Vinicius: “His lack of goals does not matter. It works fine. His mobility is good for us to create chances. I hope it continues like this. We will have matches where there will be fewer chances. The bench is well covered with Juselo, a player with a different look and presence in the area.”

Regarding the reason for his reprimand to Vinicius, he said: “I complained about an unnecessary loss, he answered me and I said no, that he should not lose the ball. I don’t want to lose the genius he has and sometimes he takes a little risk, but then I get a little angry. But other times I get excited about his skills. The balance is that I get excited many times more than the few times I get angry.”
