Real Madrid or Barcelona?.. Arda Guler makes his final decision
Arda Güler , the young phenomenon of Fenerbahçe , has received several offers from clubs in Spain and the Premier, but he prefers to play for Real Madrid.
Güler, 18, has a termination clause of 17.5 million euros and is one of the footballers with the best projection that can be found. Hence, he has received proposals from clubs such as Barcelona , Sevilla , Milan and Arsenal , but he has been convinced by the one made by Real Madrid.
If nothing goes wrong at the last minute, his signing by the white club could be announced shortly, in the coming days.
Barça believed that they had closed the contract after the trip of their new sports director, Deco, to Istanbul. But Madrid moved quickly and made its offer, which Güler esteemed more than the others because of his obvious desire to wear white.
In the end, it is the players who choose the team they want to go to and Güler, as also happened in the case of Bellingham, has had no doubts: his choice is Real Madrid.
In principle, Madrid had no intention of incorporating Güler this summer . The club had been following Turkey’s left-footed talent for months, but without rushing. However, the avalanche of offers that the player has received have precipitated events.
At Real Madrid they did not even rule out leaving the footballer on loan for another year in his current team, Fenerbahçe . But Arda is so excited to play for Madrid that the club is willing to incorporate him this summer .
Madrid’s interest in Güler, anticipated by this newspaper on June 22 , materialized after the Europa League tie that Fenerbahçe played against Sevilla, who also fell in love with the player. But the footballer was already having an excellent season.
In this course he has already added 35 appearances, six goals and seven assists wearing the colors of Fenerbahçe.
One of his last and best performances took place in the Turkish Cup final, won (2-0) against Basaksehir , in which he was decisive with an assist and taking the MVP title of the match. He is now about to sign for Real Madrid by his own choice.
