Perez and Ancelotti agreed on the name of the next Real Madrid striker after Benzema’s departure to Saudi Arabia

The British newspaper, Daily Mail, revealed the name of the striker, who was agreed upon by Florentino Perez and Carlo Ancelotti, to succeed Karim Benzema in the Real Madrid attacking line.

It is said that Karim Benzema is very close to leaving Real Madrid and joining the Saudi club Al-Ittihad, after the arrival of a huge financial offer that is difficult to refuse from the Saudi club.

Benzema’s departure to Al-Ittihad was not the only reason that prompted the club’s president and Italian coach to decide to sign a new striker. However, the injuries suffered by the French striker this season prompted the club to search for a replacement for him.

Los Blancos president Florentino Perez and coach Carlo Ancelotti sat down for crisis talks in the wake of the agonizing 4-0 Champions League semi-final defeat by Manchester City, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

It was said that the two discussed future plans, which included new deals, and named Chelsea striker Kai Havertz as one of those strikers nominated to succeed Benzema.

News of Real Madrid’s interest in Havertz is the latest in a series of reports linking him to a departure from Stamford Bridge following the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino, whose mission is – among other things – to reduce the bloated squad.

The Germany international arrived in 2020 in a whopping £76m deal and could join the likes of Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek on their way out of the club this summer.
