Haaland’s “explicit” confession 10 days after Real Madrid-Man City clash
Ten days have passed since Manchester City’s historic victory against Real Madrid (4-0), in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals at the Etihad Stadium.
City’s feared top scorer, Erling Haaland, is still very much on his mind for the big game Guardiola’s men put up against the Whites.
It was strange in that confrontation that Haaland was unable to score a single goal, especially thanks to several miraculous saves from Thibaut Courtois on his visit to Manchester.
And the Norwegian striker admitted after he was named the best soccer player in England: “When I watched the first half against Real Madrid again, which is one of the few matches that I saw again … I think it is the best I have ever seen from a football team.”
Haaland also confirmed that he was happy with the decision he made to sign for Manchester City: “I knew that I would perform well in the English Premier League, and I knew that I would play for the great team that is City.”
“It’s very good, of course, that the first season comes around and I get this award. It’s something special and I really appreciate that,” said the Norwegian, who this season has scored 52 goals in 51 matches in all competitions.
