Guardiola: “One of the best players I’ve ever seen was existing in Real Madrid vs Man City match”

Manchester City succeeded in qualifying for the Champions League final, after achieving a great victory over Real Madrid, 4-0, in the semi-final second leg match that was held between the two teams, yesterday, Wednesday, at the Etihad Stadium.

After the match, Guardiola spoke, saying: “When playing at home, we feel incredibly comfortable with our fans. Last season was very painful [the loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League]. People talk about the lack of personality in these players, but in one year we showed how special these players are.

He added: “Today, from the first minute, we had the feeling that everyone was ready, it was calm, they made a lot of jokes, so I didn’t feel any tension or anxiety. I felt we were ready today to put in a good performance.”

And about the Istanbul final, Pep said: “The final match against an Italian team is the best gift, honestly. Inter is a very competitive team. We have time to prepare mentally.”

And he ended: “When you reach the Champions League final, you have to celebrate. The players were great. On these kinds of stages, in these kinds of matches, Bernardo [Silva] is always there. He’s one of the best players I’ve ever seen.”
